And the Artwork Keeps Coming....

I seriously have too much fun drawing my own book characters...I probably should start drawing other things. But oh well, I love bringing my characters to life not only with words but with images! (Besides, Aragnarians are too awesome to resist drawing) I just love wings...waay too much. That's why I'm certain that if God gave man wings we would never get anything productive done...

Even More Art

Here is my newest drawing of Aleron and Maria! I never get tired of drawing these two. I'm almost finished with the draft of book #2, and it is turning out great! I can't wait to finish writing the trilogy, I know it will be amazing.

More Art

So I've done it again. I've drawn Aleron for the one hundred millionth time, and loved every bit of it! This drawing really took a while to finish, there were plenty of anatomical issues I had to work through, but I think it turned out alright! I just love those wings....wings in general haha!

Wings of Honor's Official Book Cover

I didn't like how Wings of Honor's cover design was, I thought the back was waaay too plain, so I decided to update it. I really like how The Book Patch allows you to design your own cover, I've really enjoyed it! So here is the final product (Also with a much better author picture :)
Besides, I really wanted to get the dagger image somewhere on the book cover!
Anyways, enjoy!

Great News!

I am happy to announce that Wings of Honor just received a five star review from Reader's Favorite! God is so good, and I know that He is going to do great things through this book series.

"Wings of Honor, Book 1 of The Warriors of Aragnar Trilogy by Elizabeth Hornberger, is the incredible story of Maria, her family, and her best friend Daniel, all followers of The One True King. They are in constant danger as Raveyn, the Aragnarian King who sits on an earthly throne, becomes less tolerant with each passing day of those who follow The One. Maria's father taught her the ways of a warrior at a very early age and, upon his death, Maria finds these skills coming on only in handy, but being highly necessary. When Raveyn finally makes a move on their village to eradicate the followers of The One, they are forced to flee. Maria gets some unexpected help as her mother, brother, and Daniel, along with the other believers from their village, are caught and taken captive. But their victory over Raveyn is bittersweet for Maria as she suffers loss and heartache. A revelation from The One True King to Maria fills her with uncertainty as she faces a future fraught with something more monstrous than the one they have just defeated. Fortunately, she won't face it along, and only time will tell if she's found more than just an ally in Aleron.

Wings of Honor was an enchanting read for me. I was pulled into this story immediately. Elizabeth Hornberger showed pure talent as she painted her characters and the world they lived in with a vivid brush. Excellent dialogue and actions brought her characters to life right from the start. This story isn't just about the age-old theme of good versus evil; it's a refreshing and engrossing depiction of destiny, faith, and courage in the lives of her characters. Carried out by a seemingly unlikely heroine, it reinforced the fact that The One can use even the least of us to do wondrous feats. I highly recommend this book, and I look forward to reading the next one in this trilogy. I can't wait to see if a certain spark turns into a flame!"

On Eagle's Wings

We all face times in life that are just plain difficult. There's always a bump in the road, complication, or trouble...let's face it, life's not easy! There are times when we face real challenges and real struggles, and they can wear you down. When the storm of difficulty and despair rolls in, we tend to bunker down, hoping to ride it out and survive another day.
This mindset is a natural reaction, but it is not a good one. Times may be rough and the days may grow dark, but as Christians, we should forsake fear and stand. God has equipped all of us with the strength necessary to stand in the face of the darkness and proclaim our victory. Jesus already has won the fight, and all we must do is walk with confidence, knowing the battle has already been won.
Like an eagle soaring above the storm, God will keep us safe from harm. Do not let how you feel affect how you fight.
" But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:30-31
Do not let your present troubles stop you from walking in victory. If all you can do is stand in the midst of trouble, stand all the more! We are conquerors and overcomers, and as children of the One True King, we have won this war because Jesus already did for us.
So take courage, stand strong, and soar above the storm like the eagle! You can and you will overcome whatever you are facing! God's got this, just trust him!
